In a recent announcement, US Embassy in Estonia has issued an update on the countries that are affected by the temporary travel freeze as well as on the visas for those countries.

What is an ESTA?

An ESTA is an electronic System for Travel Authorization. US VISA FOR ESTONIA CITIZENS It allows citizens of the United States and certain other countries to travel to Estonia and Finland visa-free for up to 90 days. To apply for an ESTA, you must first register with the US Department of State online. Then, you will need to provide your name, date of birth, passport number, and other required information. You can also upload a photo of yourself. After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming your ESTA registration. Finally, you will need to present your ESTA registration when you arrive in Estonia or Finland.

Requirements to Apply for a US Visa from Estonia

To apply for a US visa from Estonia, you will need to provide proof of your identity, residency and travel plans. You will also need to provide documentation supporting your application.

Proof of Identity

You will need to provide proof of your identity, such as a passport or driver’s license.

Residency

You must also prove that you reside in Estonia. You can do this by providing documents such as a lease or rental agreement, or utility bill from an Estonian address.

Travel Plans

Finland is a member of the European Union and has a visa agreement with the United States. Finland citizens can apply for a US visa through their Finnish embassy or consulate. The requirements to apply for a US visa from Finland are:

-A passport that is valid for at least six months after your intended departure from the United States

-A visa application form, which can be obtained from your local Finnish embassy or consulate

-Two recent passport-style photos

-A receipt showing that you paid the visa fees

How to Apply for a US Visa from Estonia or Finland without the need for an ESTA

There are a few ways you can apply for a US visa without the need for an ESTA.

1. Apply using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) If you are a national of Estonia or Finland, you can apply for a US visa using the ESTA system. This system is available on the Department of State’s website. To apply, you will need to provide your passport information, as well as other information requested by the ESTA application form. Once your application is submitted, it may take up to two weeks for a response.

2. Applying in Person You can also apply for a US visa in person at any US embassy or consulate in Estonia or Finland. In order to do this, you will need to provide all of the same information required when applying through the ESTA system, as well as proof of identification and citizenship. The processing time for this type of application may be longer than when applying through the ESTA system, but it is usually faster than applying through an embassy or consulate outside of Estonia or Finland.

3. Applying via Mail You can also apply for a US visa by mail if you are not able to travel to Estonia or Finland in person. To do so, you will need to submit all of the same information required when applying through the ESTA system, as well as proof of identification and citizenship.
